The Bronte was built in 1822 for the honourable Mr Caleb Soul of Soul Paterson Pharmacy fame. This fabulous residence was built on Lot 1 Swan Street Morpeth and named after Admiral Nelson the Earl of Bronte.
The Bronte was purchased by the current owners in 2014 and completely refurbished to its current luxury standard with an eclectic fusion of Victorian and Asian antiques. The owner has a passion for service and food and has recently added catered functions to The Bronte’s agenda and has plans to extend the food and beverage offerings further.
The exterior of the building is next on the list to be developed, where guests can enjoy our divine cuisine and refreshments from the western courtyard.
The location is perfect – on the main street in the heart of the historic village of Morpeth. Café’s, restaurants, boutiques and art galleries, literally on your doorstep. The Bronte enjoys an enviable reputation as being the place to stay in Morpeth or the Maitland area.
The hotel is ideal for visitors to discover everything that historic Morpeth has to offer. Whether booking an individual room or booking the entire hotel for a private party. The Bronte is ideal for your special getaway or event.
